Technology Today #15: Dalton Cervo on Master Data Management

In today’s podcast, the subjects are information management and master data management. I am very pleased to be joined by my friend and fellow Rush nut Dalton Cervo. Dalton is a Dalton Cervo, project manager in the Customer Data Management group at Oracle and he also contributed a chapter to my next book, The Next Wave of Technologies. Dalton answers questions such as:
- In what areas are MDM technologies used best?
- Are there levels of MDM? Can you talk about them?
- What does an organization need to do before starting an MDM project?
- In which industries is MDM most frequently used?
- What’s one of the biggest mistakes that organizations make during MDM projects?
As an aside, I found out after recording the podcast that Dalton’s a big Rush fan. This is probably a good thing, as we would have spent the entire podcast comparing notes on favorite albums, concerts, and other Rush-related trivia.
