Technology Today #18: Laura Schoppe on The Virtual Company

These days, much work is performed remotely. I have supported many clients without ever actually being on site and, I’d like to think, everyone benefited. I didn’t have to waste time in airports and the client saved money on travel.

Against this backdrop, I read an article on NPR with great interest. One thing led to another and I was ultimately able to speak with Laura Schoppe, head of Fuentek, a consultancy that helps organizations transfer technology from one application to new ones.

During this 20 minute podcast, Laura discusses the challenges–and opportunities–associated with being completely virtual, management challenges, software as a service (SaaS), open source, and a host of other interesting topics.

Very good content. Helped me grasp some pointers for my job where we work virtually as an outsourced company.

    Thanks Phil & Laura.
